Inspect

Color Picker

Choose a color with the native picker and sliders, then copy its notations. This is a choose-and-inspect job, not a converter pair page and not an image sampler.

Input is processed in your browser. ColorToolMage does not upload it, store it, or send it to analytics.

#6D28D9

Result

HEX#6D28D9

RGBrgb(109, 40, 217)

HSLhsl(263.4, 70%, 50.4%)

How it works

The picker writes the same sRGB engine as the converter. Changing any control updates every readout.

Input and output

Input is a visual selection or hex. Output is HEX, RGB, HSL, and a preview swatch.

Common uses

UI accent

Pick a violet and copy #6D28D9 for a stylesheet.

Neutral

Set lightness to 50% with saturation 0 to inspect mid gray.

How to use this tool

  1. Open the color control or drag the HSL sliders.
  2. Confirm HEX, RGB, and HSL in the result.
  3. Copy the notation you need.

Limitations

  • The native color control is sRGB and browser-dependent.
  • No camera, screenshot, or file eyedropper.

Questions

Can I pick a color from a photo?
No. Image sampling is a pixel job and is out of scope here. Use the converter if you already have a hex or name.
Does the picker upload anything?
No. The native color control and sliders run in this browser.
